NOTIFICATION
WHEREAS the Cooch Behar Municipality has been appointed as the Cooch Behar Planning Authority (hereinafter
referred to as the said Planning Authority) vide the Urban Development & Municipal Affairs Department's Memo No.
205-T&CP/C-2/2C-34/2019 dated 24th January, 2020 in respect of declaration of Planning Area vide the Urban Development
& Municipal Affairs Department's Memo No. 206-T&CP/C-2/2C-36/2019 dated 24th January, 2020.
AND
WHEREAS in pursuance of the provisions of section 28 of the West Bengal Town & Country (Planning and
Development) Act, 1979 (hereafter referred to as the said Act), the said Planning Authority has prepared the present
Land Use Map (hereafter called the Map) and a Land Register (hereafter called the Register) for the following mouzas.

WHEREAS Cooch Behar Municipality has not prepared any Map or Register in respect of an area before the
application of the Said Act to that area [in terms of sub-section (4) of section 29 of the Said Act],
NOW, therefore the said Planning Authority hereby publishes a Public Notice under sub-section (1) of the section
29 of the Said Act in respect of the preparation of Map and Register. The Copy of the said Land Use Map and Register
is available for inspection for inviting objections in writing from any person with respect to the Map and the Register
within 30 days of publication of this Notice in the following office address on any working days during office hours:

Notice Description : All the inhabitants residing within the Cooch Behar Municipal area have hygienic Sanitary Toilets in their houses. Residence of the Cooch Behar Municipal area & outsiders coming to Municipal area do not defecate in open place. From 23/12/2020 Cooch Behar Municipality is an Open Defecation Free Municipality. If any inhabitants or outsider is found to defecate within Municipal area, a fine to the taken amounting Rs. 100/- will be imposed.
